NASA astronaut duo Robert Behnken and Thomas Pesquet safely returned to Earth on Sunday, marking the end of a 200-day space mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS). The two astronauts landed in Kazakhstan''s Steppe National Preserve at 6:49 pm local time.

The NASA astronauts spent six months in space as part of Expedition 67, conducting scientific research and performing maintenance tasks on the ISS. During their stay, they welcomed five cargo ships and hosted three spacewalks, also known as extravehicular activities (EVAs).

"It''s amazing to be back on Earth," said Behnken in a post-landing statement. "The view from up here is incredible, but there''s no place like home." Pesquet echoed his sentiments, saying, "It feels great to be back on solid ground and to have had the opportunity to contribute to this amazing mission."

The successful return of Behnken and Pesquet marks a milestone in NASA''s ongoing efforts to explore space and understand the universe. Their 200-day journey was filled with exciting discoveries and challenges, including conducting research on the effects of microgravity on the human body.

NASA plans to continue its space exploration initiatives, with upcoming missions to the Moon and Mars. The agency is also working on developing new technologies to support future deep-space travel and potential human settlements.

The return of Behnken and Pesquet serves as a reminder of the incredible achievements that can be accomplished through international cooperation and dedication to scientific inquiry.
